pastels on colour paper
this image uses a limited pallet of just white, grey and black and has a verity of different cloud sizes. the image has verity of different tones for example use of black pastel mixed with grey and white to create darker cloud formation. however they don't blend well with rest of the cloud. there is some slight change in tone from dark to lighter tone however it isn't that gradual change. the main focus of this image is the two large clouds which large changes in hue and tone and are within centre area of rule of thirds.
the white pastels have been used quite well here as there tone varies well throughout the image the image. for example the small strips of clouds at top of image are have faint tone to them and you can see next to them very strong tone in cloud formation. there is also a gradual changes in tone of some of the clouds that can be followed by the viewer such as white strip has very faint tones but gradually becomes strong, this creates and implied line for the viewer as it is leading the viewer as well as making it an area of interest.
This image uses different shades of blue to create the sky in backdrop. we can see a change in tone from bottom where its slightest tone and becomes darker as you progress up the image. There is some implied lines within the image as the viewers eyes will follow the tops of clouds. there is good mix of different colours within clouds which help create form in the clouds and there is some gradual changes in the hue as we see change from grey to white within most of the clouds. This particular image has some areas that improved from pervious images. We now have verity of hues as we have the a small horizon line within the bottom of image. The hue at bottom have consist mainly of warm colours, pervious images have mainly consist strongly of neutral colours (grey, white and black) and colour paper create cold image. The addition of warm colours are attempt to balance the warm and cold hues.
