Charcoal and white chalk on coloured paper
this still life mainly consist of reflective and transparent surfaces such as glass. The composition has some slight depth to it as jar and glass are just in front of pan and vase and we can see some slight distortion in the glass and jar as edges of The table, vase and pan show some distortion with the image. The white chalk has been used here to show strong highlights and reflections within objects for example pan have very strong highlights which curve around object to represent lighter reflections in the pan. There are many implied lines throughout the image the biggest one is from vase, you can see imply line though the tone the viewer can follow the line from vase down to the glass. the addition of backdrop does help to add depth however some areas need improving such as the handle on the jug is far to small and looks out of place.
