final piece- anatomy

artist pen

this anatomy drawing appears to correct proportion in the body however the head appears little to small in comparison. the pose of the model is static as we can see him leaning back what appears to be a couch. the arms are folded together this shows that it is a closed pose.

the clothing has some nice detail added such such as trousers we can see the seams on trousers and have some light and dark tones of short lines throughout trousers this is to give an impression of denim trousers. the values show the wear and tear within the trousers. the shirt and trousers have some good definition in there folds and wrinkles. we can see that lighter mark making shows the wrinkle. we can see that the shirt shapes onto the body this shows that shirt is very light weight whereas the trousers have stiff and larger wrinkles and folds which helps to show that the heavy fabric weight and doesn't cling to the body.

the shading helps create form to the model, the thicker pen has been used to show darker tones within model the diagonal and horizontal mark making with the pen helps to reinforce the form and shape of arms where as the light cross hatch helps to give surface of shirt form.

areas that need improving are the hands, head and feet. the head does have some detail but arent in proportion and not fully detail to show much life. with foot we get the impression that toes are curled up and just see the sole of foot however again it lacks any detail. the hand is closed but doesn't look natural and needs more detail.
